Family Health was held at the Linwood School arranged by Aaron Loucks
Many children participated and the event was very successful
Family Literacy was scheduled 6:30 p.m. 5/14/08
Family Math
This event was held 3/26/08. Pauline Harrington, a former
math teacher, graciously filled in last minute and provided fun puzzles and math activities. A wonderful and educational time
was had by all who attended. See "photo album".
Family Science Night for Grades K-5
This
Family Science Night focused on the properties, value, and uses of water and caring for the environment. It featured a Reading
Rainbow video clip, which included Gerald Aschenbrenner's book Jack, the Seal, and the Sea, a visit to San Francisco Bay
to learn about preserving the ocean, and a look at cleaning up after the Exxon Valdez oil spill. The evening also had an
icebreaker, three hands-on activities, resources, and books. This event was held Wednesday, January 9, 6:30-8 p.m. The program
was enjoyed by all participants.
